Job Description

Intel's Business Process and Transformation Software Development (BPT SD) team develops and deploys engineering software solutions to more than 6000 engineers throughout 28 countries at Intel. In addition, as part of the BPT team within the Data Platforms Engineering Architecture (DPEA) organization. This team is developing the software infrastructure for supporting engineering work and connecting systems throughout the entire company.

We are looking for an energetic team member with extensive knowledge of programming both front-end and back-end systems, database work, Microsoft Power BI, and creating software solutions with uncompromising creativity, quality, and integrity.

The selected applicant will be part of the global software team responsible for helping develop our software environment with a focus on improving existing software architecture and connecting systems. The software role requires experience with web design and development, scripting, database work, data structures, as well as a thorough knowledge of the software development process.

This employee must be a self-motivated, goal-oriented, independent worker who is passionate about quality of output, and willing to produce results with minimal supervision and guidance.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining SLA on current web environment while also delivering high quality new features on customer requests.
• Development and customization of existing software tools and methods.
• Database development including schema and stored procedures.
• Power BI development with a focus on user experience and access to information.
• Designing creative solutions to issues and feature requests.
• Bug fixing and responding to user issues.
• Continually strive to uphold and improve standards of code quality across our codebases.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications,

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related (documentation related to bachelor's degree completion will be required).
• 2+ years of experience with web design and development (front-end/back-end).
• 1+ years of experience writing and debugging database queries.
• 1+ years of experience using Git for source control and working with remotes (e.g. GitHub).
• 1+ years of experience working with Javascript (ES+6).
• 1+ years of experience working with CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS/ Bootstrap.
• 1+ years of experience working with data architecture, data modeling, and data engineering.
• Advanced English level.
• The position is located in Mexico, itis not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications,

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:

• 2+ years developing interface applications using Vue.js and the surrounding ecosystem.
• 1+ years of experience working directly with Power BI.
• 1+ years of experience with Laravel.
• 1+ years of experience with MSSQL.
• 1+ years of experience with using Microsoft SharePoint and its API.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification.
• Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with both Oracle and SQL databases.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience in optimizing data driven dashboards with focus on usability, performance, flexibility, and standardization.
• Proven delivery of technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
