Job Requirements

  • Experience counselling multicultural clients and knowledge of trauma-informed therapy are necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as the capacity to prioritise and work independently; ability to contribute to the maintenance of an atmosphere that promotes cooperation, interdependence, and ethical behaviour.
  • Ability to contribute to the maintenance of an atmosphere that promotes collaboration, interdependence, and ethical behaviour.
  • Capability to take direction and act on programme manager and clinical supervisor suggestions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records.
  • Experience dealing with Native American groups is highly requested.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of client treatment records and information.
  • Required education:
  • A master’s degree in psychology, counselling, clinical social work, or a closely related subject is required.
  • Experience:
  • Experience working in mental health services for at least two years is essential.
  • Certifications/Licenses:
  • A valid Washington State driver’s licence with no limitations is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • In Washington State, you must be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Other requirements include:
  • A rigorous pre-employment background inquiry is required.
  • Must consent to the Tribe’s Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy, which includes pre-employment testing.
  • Before being hired, a previous participant in SUD treatment must have completed treatment and maintained recovery for a minimum of two years.

  • This is a full-time paid position with at-will employment.
  • DOQ, the starting salary is $71,217.88 per year.
